- pay review process is sprung on you randomly
- everything is kept a secret for no good reason until the very last minute
- manipulative and unpleasant senior leadership team
- all benefits are statutory legal minimum. If they choose to say, pay you when you are off sick, they will hold it over your head forever as if it's not the basic decent thing to do. People constantly coming in sick to work. If you call in sick you are accused of looking for work, even if you are senior.
- attitude to covid was awful
- any mistake you make will be remembered forever and used to put you down whenever you start to get "too big for your boots"
- Standards for staff treatment are so low that you avoid asking for support to avoid their overbearing scrutiny. Then told off when the problem gets worse.
- hours very long (8am-6pm for operations staff, + saturdays + bank holidays expected with unclear/no payment for those extra days)
- senior leadership want to take credit for everything you've contributed/learnt. "you were nothing when you started here".
- People constantly shouting into the phones
- All the above contribute to an unnecessarily hostile and stressful environment within the office, nobody is happy about having to work here every day and it festers.
