      Pros

      Decent people at the individual contributors level. Real salt of the earth humans who are trying to do their best in a broken system.

      Cons

      Nepotism runs rampant, particularly in People and Culture. Poor leaders are allowed to run entire teams into the ground without intervention. Company fails to provide reasonable accommodations in a timely manner. Ineffective leaders are often absent, lack visibility, and/or work out of state. Sometimes all three.

      pension 40hr work week lots of paid holidays union protection no accountability = no one watching

      Cons

      no accountability=no direction or measurable results very poor management (inexperienced/incompetent) no plans or goals to work towards no upward growth opportunities employees not business savvy managers appointed without any experience and then no training reactionary vs. strategic do NOT understand the strategic importance of communications/marketing HORRIBLE culture and poor morale that NO one pays attention to or cares about for years
