Pros

CEO is a man of vision and everyone in the company seemed to be ambitious individuals. They really did work hard to maintain an atmosphere of inclusion and positivity.

Cons

It's not a marketing job. It's a sales job and I wish they were a bit more upfront about it. Your life becomes work.

We are glad that in working with us for only a week, you were quickly able to notice the impact of our upper management team and culture. We do want to point out that it was clearly mapped out during the three-part interview process that you attended that this is a marketing position that, like most companies, involved sales but also is a committed business development and management training program that offers solid growth in approximately a year with cross-training in promotion coordination, team building, marketing strategies, client and brand development, etc. We also would have liked to have received a formal resignation as opposed to being all set to go on a trip to San Francisco and simply not showing up for work nor the paid flight. Considering your review, this wasn't the right offer for you to take despite what was told to us repeatedly during the interview process and in person. We do hope you find something that aligns with what you are looking for.

It is a positive that considering the short amount of time that you were with Seattle Promotional Management, you gained experience. It's unfortunate that from the ad you applied to, the three part interview process, Orientation, office meetings, hands on training at the promotions, conference calls, etc., you didn't understand that this position develops an individual over the course of nine to thirteen months to be able to go from managing one client and promotional marketing campaign to then oversee up to a dozen promotions on a daily basis, an entire office, hundreds on thousands of dollars worth of inventory, scheduling, clients and brands, etc. If that's not considered a professional job with professional development, we'd love to get some legitimate feedback from you as to what you consider a professional job to be.

Glorified sales rep

Pros

They have a very structured way that they run the sales rep program

Cons

The position was at best a glorified sales rep. The hours were not great and the wages were split in an unfair way.
