Pros

Somewhat nice office (old one was terrible) CEO is a decent guy but can be authoritarian.

Cons

If you enjoy ridiculous bureaucracy, tiny budgets, no career opportunities or development, terrible culture, working with over demanding overseas counterparts and a lack of support then this is the place for you! Head office is in India. Unless you come from India you will probably find it difficult to work here. This is a family business. This makes company culture worse, full of "yes" men, over promise and under deliver.

Pros

Management are quite Laissez-faire (in my office, anyway), you can mostly get a reasonable work-life balance since a lot of the time management seem to be asleep at the wheel.

Cons

-Management style varies wildly from Laissez-faire to control freak depending on the flavour of the month. -Not much direction, some managers have terrible or non existent HR type skills. -Family owned business from India. Staff outside of India will have a hard time with understanding rationale of some decisions and processes. Much of the company is driven by Indian culture (e.g. "yes" men) -Much is said regarding training and opportunities but nothing happens. Offices outside of India are at a greater disadvantage. -Far too much financial scrutiny on offices outside of India - much effort expended to nickel-and-dime.

Pros

Good location if you live in western suburbs. Pay is generally market average.

Cons

I found this a very difficult place to work despite putting in many years effort to try improve things (ironically one of the reasons why I was hired in the first place). Very slow moving and lots of bureaucracy. Lack even some basic tools which are still not provided no matter how hard you try. Budgets you submit to HO will look nothing like what you submitted when you get it back. Confusion, communication problems and duplication everywhere. You will be asked for the same information over and over again. Difficult to get anyone to take ownership of a problem and you will be pulled in multiple directions at once while provided little support. This is a family owned business in India and as such this heavily influences internal culture. It took me a long time to learn/understand this but I'm not sure it made my job any easier. "yes men" and thriftiness very common. PC/Server lifecycle 7 years, so don't expect latest and greatest. Career opportunities and development are rare or non existent. More than half of the staff have either resigned or made redundant over the years. The business is going through change so this is understandable but my future outlook for the Melbourne office is not good. Rest of organization, maybe not so bad. Port Melbourne location, new-ish office but noisy (open plan), some decent options for eating out. Public transport is a bit challenging.
