Pros

- Unlimited PTO - Loving coworkers - Advanced education fund

Cons

- Management/Executive Team isn’t truthful on current company standing - No room for moving up in the company - Assigned tasks to complete while on vacation/PTO - Not feeling like a respected/valued asset anymore - CEO has incredibly poor bedside manner and makes ill-fitted and off topic remarks during company-wide meetings - Transparency is at an all time low - Underpaid for all the tasks/jobs we have to cover - Losing the opportunity to go into the office - Feeling disconnected from my peers due to current company vibes and situations

C, thank you for taking the time to write this detailed review. I can tell how much you love Sedera, and how frustrated you are by the challenges we have recently faced as we shift from an early-stage start up to a more mature organization. I hope you have been encouraged by the steps being taken to demonstrate better transparency, such as implementing the Monthly Team Business Reviews, and hiring to specifically address some of the issues that you mentioned. We need the passion and dedication of people like you, and I would love to discuss all of this with you more directly. Please reach out at any time. -Director of People and Culture

No Respect, No growth, Low pay

Pros

If you like overworking and don't care about being appropriately paid this is the place for you. Remote work (until recently this was reserved for favorites)

Cons

Disrespect towards key departments from leadership No opportunity for growth unless you are a favorite - they will bump your title but not increase your pay - despite being told otherwise during my interview they do not even let internal employees know about job opportunities and will hire new people to pay them less Constant turnover, as they do not feel they need to pay market rate for your work and time Management is disrespectful, does not recognize hard work, and continually puts you down You are expected to over-perform and when you do, you are not rewarded. The company feels entitled to your time, regardless of work hours. I have been asked to complete tasks while on PTO They say PTO is unlimited but have no system in place to manage workflow while you are out so if you DARE to go on vacation you will return to an avalanche of work. In the meantime, people are actively getting upset with you for tasks remaining undone. Management will not step in to help. Management sets up 'town halls' and asks the company at large to submit questions then does not address them directly and does not even mention the questions asked. The company is sinking fast, financial issues have been ongoing for over a year.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and concerns. Like many companies, Sedera has experienced challenges moving from the early start-up stage into the scaling-up stage of growth. I encourage any employee to reach out to their manager or HR directly if they are feeling disrespected, undervalued, or like their PTO is not being protected. Sedera remains committed to nurturing the culture that so many of us love as we go through this transition, and we are listening to our team about the changes they would like to see. -Team Sedera
