Director is not a competent managing director of a business or an effective manager of people. Avoids or doesn’t understand serious business issues that a director should be interested in (finance, handling HR issues, creating strategy and direction alongside managers). Acts disrespectfully towards the staff but expects them to go above and beyond for him.
Lots of talk and promises about having the best benefits and plans, but little follow through.
My mental health was affected in a way I’ve never experienced in a job before, and even started affecting my personal relationships. Pressure and blame seemed to be the common ways to avoid the responsibilities of running the business. I left multiple meetings in tears and tried giving objective feedback, but there was no support from top management and no meaningful effort was made to address it. I love the work I do, but working here made it unbearable.
