You will never get to do your actual job, you will be constantly reporting and essentially reverifying that you can do your job..on paper every 2 weeks, but never actually have the time to do said job due to the micromanagement required from Japan. Many starts and stops in projects, no trust in employees to get the job done. Very very very high turnover. Highly stressful environment, very poor mental health amongst the team. Lots of people at breaking point due to the micromanagement of every single department. Very very unrealistic demands and timeframes, on the smaller less important things too. Again, highly highly stressful environment. They like to overload staff with work, keep them under resourced and underpaid, and wonder why people leave. HR have no interest in improving the environment. People work until midnight, and they're still told they're not working hard enough. Deadlines are set from Japan, and they don't understand the actual more important deadlines you have when on site and on your specific project. Their proposed deadlines interfere with actual real world deadlines that impact customers, and even when you tell them you need to prioritise the real world deadline..you still have to work on some report for them, delaying the much more important work you should be focused on. This business is going down hill rapidly. With this high of a turnover and awful environment being tolerated, I can't foresee this business being successful long-term.
