Pros

The small team of employees in the London office is great and supportive to each other. Which is necessary with how they are treated by the owner.

Cons

The owner of the company is psychologically abusive to staff, micro manages every aspects of the day to day of the team and tasks, removes all respect and autonomy from employees and overall behaves in an unacceptable way that creates an uncomfortable and controlling working environment. The gas-lighting behaviour is internal and external, including how the company operates and communicates to customers. A lot of greenwashing going on and there is zero real diversity and inclusion!

Cons

Working at Selective Marketplace has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I stepped foot into this ill-fated company, it became painfully clear that there were no pros to be found. Here's why Selective Marketplace is a workplace you should avoid at all costs: 1. Toxic Work Environment: The atmosphere at Selective Marketplace is suffocating, filled with negativity and constant tension. The management fosters a culture of blame and favoritism, creating a toxic environment where employees are pitted against each other rather than working as a team. 2. Incompetent Leadership: The leadership team at Selective Marketplace is a prime example of incompetence. They lack vision, direction, and the ability to make sound decisions. Their constant micromanagement and lack of clear communication only contribute to the chaos within the company. 3. Lack of Growth Opportunities: Career advancement at Selective Marketplace is virtually nonexistent. The company fails to provide employees with meaningful opportunities for growth and development. You'll find yourself stuck in the same position for years without any chance of progress. 4. Poor Work-Life Balance: Selective Marketplace has no regard for work-life balance. Expect long working hours, unreasonable demands, and a constant pressure to sacrifice personal time for the sake of the company's questionable goals. It's a recipe for burnout and unhappiness. 5. Abysmal Compensation and Benefits: The compensation and benefits package offered by Selective Marketplace is a slap in the face. They severely underpay their employees, offering wages well below industry standards. As for benefits, they're minimal, with no perks or incentives to make up for the low salaries. 6. Chaotic Organizational Structure: The company's organizational structure is an absolute mess. Departments are disorganized, communication channels are convoluted, and decision-making processes are painfully slow. It's a recipe for inefficiency and frustration. In conclusion, working at Selective Marketplace is a soul-draining experience. The toxic work environment, incompetent leadership, lack of growth opportunities, poor work-life balance, abysmal compensation, and chaotic organizational structure make it a workplace to avoid at all costs. Spare yourself the agony and seek employment elsewhere, where your skills and well-being will be valued and respected.
