Pros

The engineering team at SendBird is awesome. They are some of the smartest people I have ever worked with and because of that this product is the best in market.

Cons

Sales Managment - The sales team is run by mormons. I bring this up because if you are uncomfortable talking about religion in the workplace. You shouldn't join this company. Also, members of sales leadership have multiple documented racist, (yes racist), violations. And the violations aren't specific to one race. Work/Life Balance? - Definitely does not exist. They say they give 2 WFH days per month, BUT the hoops you have to go through in order to get those approved are pretty insane. Book it on your calendar, book it on your managers calendar and he can say yes or no to this. Most of the time it's 'no' so be warned. I guess I can sum this up by saying there is a lot of micromanaging at SendBird. Benefits - Awful. They have continued to make broken promises saying they will get better benefits as well as a 401k. At first the ‘HR department ‘said "change is coming in June" then when open enrollment came around everyone was confused because all the benefits remained the same and there was no change. The ‘HR department’ said "oh sorry, you have a week to enroll and we arent changing benefits until 2020". No clear career path - You can work there for years and still be stuck in the same job. 1 person has been promoted in the US organization and that wasnt because SendBird willfully offered it to this person, its because this person demanded it or they were quitting.

Pros

You can experience a process of a company's rapid growth. You can learn the engineering skills to deal with the huge network traffic as an infrastructure engineer. You can learn the engineering skills to make a reliable SDK as a mobile and web engineer. You can work with the very well-known companies as customers. The coworkers are so talented and friendly.

Cons

Cooperation between two offices (US and KR) is not easy because of the time difference. You need to deal with a customer's requirements as soon as possible (Our customers are everywhere in the world!) It's not easy to develop features to satisfy most customers.

Pros

- Very friendly and helpful coworkers - This product will definitely succeed and is pretty ahead of its competitors

Cons

- Managers are working 24/7 so good luck with any quality time with yours - Because managers are working 24/7 they are not so invested in you - Compete with a Korean office that is working 24/7 - Career Trap - CEO thinks he is Aristotle
