Pros

Free gratis, and general discount.

Cons

Can't believe how LVMH run Sephora in Australia, The store manager can easily fired anyone she didn't like and the management team talk and back stab other staff in the stores. 1) on my first day at work I know that the management team didn't like me and I did try my best to keep this job, but the manager always picking on me and limit my position. The management team never send people they dislike to training 2) After the store opening everyone tried there best to work hard and I saw a lot of people leaving the business because they been overwork and disagree with the management team 3) during my 4th month been working at Sephora, the store manager cut my hours said that I didn't suitable for the company culture and told me to think is this job suitable for me to stay. 4) 3 weeks later she call me into the office said I got customers complaint. I did asked them can they give me the evidence of complaint they said no and told me to leave. I was very shock because they fired staff without 3 verbal warning, 1 written warning and no human resources involved. I asked the manager a form of writing about my termination she said no. 5) in the end I decide to report Sephora to fair work and let them deal with it. 6) if anyone who want to apply for this company please be mindful of unorganised, racist manager, work bullying and manager making fun behind staff.

Pros

staff discount 40% for sephora brand, 30% for exclusive brands, 20% non-exclusive brands

Cons

- Sephora DID NOT PAY ME for weeks after I had to chase and chase my pay. The manager told me to send her my payslips which they never provided me and got mad when I couldn't give her these - even if you're a casual employee, they make you bring in a doctors certificate for missing one day of work - time your break down to the second, I was literally 45secs late from returning back from break and my manager had to talk to me - bag check- no trust in employees, they think you steal something everytime you work - was provided no uniform for 2 months as being a staff, had to wear all black - managers are so conceited and think they're running a luxury brand - lonngggggg shifts- 8-9hr shift allocations with no possibility of shorter shifts - forced to have knowledge about every.single.product. and ingredients with no training OVERALL, horrible place to work that is highly micro-managed and do not pay their staff

Pros

Working with like-minded people who are passionate about succession and business results. Perks like no other!

Cons

The high volume of staffing means a high volume of people management. Lots of behavioural discussions to be had - strength in leadership is essential.
