      Great and unique people around you, terrible arrogant people above you

      Pros

      The varied individuals that you work with was a breath of fresh air. People with backgrounds from around the world, different situations into why they were working with the company and so on. It was great to see many good people there.

      Cons

      The work itself was not very difficult albeit tedious and repetitive at times, though that is just the nature of the job, you do get used to it. Leaves you feeling a little bored sooner or later.

      Educating, and a role that set me up for my future.

      Pros

      The good things are the roster, when you get established as a dispatcher you can be put on a 4 on 4 off pattern which is only working half of the year, also take 4 days holiday from your 35 allocation and you get 8 days off - DOUBLE your time. In the summer and busy months you can write your own pay cheque with overtime - which is plentiful March-September and drys completely throughout winter.

      Cons

      The biggest challenge is working with the top heavy management. Holidays that never get approved and an ever ending increasing management table and ever shrinking workforce on the ground. Too many cheifs and never enough indians on the shop floor.

      tight knitt work force. uniform provided, chairs.

      Cons

      17 YEARS to reach top rate under twenty dollars, No flight benefits even though we service every airline with 99% output rate. No profit sharing, embarrising incentive program. Useless union 18 dollars a pay check fee and rising, Jobs opportunites rarely given to those who deserve them. Spend summer time picking up the slack of the dying ramp operations at every wim. Management that rather see company fail than take advice. No availabilty of education programs. TWO YEARS TILL ELIGABLE FOR BENEFITS.
