Politics and favoritism, keeping people on who are terrible managers but have been there ages, strong nepotism and ineffective people in important roles who are hard to get rid of (especially on the HR team, which is highly unprofessional and dangerous), low pay, and without a doubt, someone will leave in any given month. Execs are either clueless due to pride or tunnel vision.

Share Our Strength is a sinking ship, and I plead with you not to board. This is not just a list of complaints from a disgruntled employee but an honest and genuine warning to prevent you from making a colossal mistake. Share Our Strength's executive team and HR does everything possible to prevent employee growth and development. Fake and secret rules are made up as reasons to reject pay increases, promotions, and professional development opportunities. Consistent layoffs have greatly impacted morale, and leadership does not care. Salaries are way below the industry average for an organization this size, and they have capped all future raises. The few benefits we have been stripped away or made more expensive. This place may seem bright and shiny because of the "No Kid Hungry" brand, but you will immediately plateau your career and skills. I promise you that you can do better.
