Company of false promises

Business outlook

Pros

- there are some good people in teams - company offers coaching to employees

Cons

- unexperienced founders create toxic work environment - they talk about people development and then people are laid off without explanation with their accounts deactivated immediately - no strategy, all C-level talks is how the sales targets are not achieved - change of the direction every 3 months - very high attrition, people come and go

Not a great place if you are a woman

Pros

Individual contributors and team leads are great people, they are talented, proactive, and easy to work with.

Cons

- Team leads have little to no actual influence on the company. - The disconnect between senior leadership and the rest of the company is too big for the size of the company. - 4 women were let go right after their sick or maternity leave. - There was no gratefulness when people worked overtime during Kurzarbeit (which is illegal, by the way), they made us sign only for the legal hours, and when the team leads asked senior management to acknowledge the extra work from their team members, C level just said: "that's what's expected, we won't thank people for doing their job". - Women in leadership have been let go, demoted, or pushed to leave (6 that I can recall off the top of my head).

you are right, it has been tough also for our female employees and leaders. We should however not treat women the same way as men, ideally we would protect them better, as they are put in a more vulnerable position than many male employees, that however is not only applicable, at Sharpist by the way. The restructuring that happened included all kinds of employees, we wish that this would not had been necessary at all, I am sure we made mistakes as well in this transition and we do apologise. When we resized for profitability, it was impossible to keep everyone in lead roles, we gave some people the choice for a new role as an individual contributor. This was not intended to demote them, it was really an effort to keep great talent through 2023. This has been difficult but at the same time it's already showing to yield positive results. We are strong and ready for whatever is presented to us, we manage to help our customers who also go through these transitional times, hopefully with them we will come out stronger than ever. I would be very grateful if you would be willing to share more directly with People and Culture on the women affected, in particular the Kurzarbeit example. By no means an impression is justifiable that this is part of anyone's job. We will deal with any such matter if that would prove to be true.

Thanks a ton for the feedback on our people and drinks! We will keep improving our onboarding program, we agree that this is an incredibly important catalyst to success and a sensation of belonging. We also see some stabilisation on the market volatility and with that we see that our results reflect this. We hope we never ever have to restructure again.
