Pros

Very fun culture, if not a bit demanding that you are a drinker. Great location at HQ.

Cons

There's very little room for personal and career growth, however this is vaguely talked about for everyone who works there. This never eventuates. Business leadership is inconsistent, with projects and approaches changed dramatically very quickly. Where this could be seen as start up "pivots", if you're there for more than 6 months you'll see that the team never stick to an approach long enough to see results, and instead move onto the next new thing. Though the business depends on businesses and Sidekicks, there is a general feeling of superiority around the office for not being a hospitality business, and not doing non skilled work themselves. The pay rate will be competitive when you start, but pay raises and bonuses will be quickly set out of reach, and if you're there more than 12 months your salary will be far lower than the work out put expected of you, and you won't be earning your market rate. At the end of the day, three of the main leaders in the business are related and nepotism in a small company spending someone else's money knows no bounds. Culture talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk

Pros

The people are generally great, and there's a real drive for everyone to make Sidekicker the best product it can be. It's also a genuinely great product that can help a lot of businesses and casual workers.

Cons

Senior leadership make rash decisions that drive away the most committed team members, and active bullying from managers is ignored due to nepotism. There is constant favouritism, and HR does not take concerns seriously.

Pros

The onboarding day was organised and fast however it's all downhill from there

Cons

Approval for my online profile took 2 months, I am a citizen and have Degree in Hospitality with 16yrs experience in high profile venues and decided to sign up in Sidekicker as a form of additional income. What they dont mention on their Ads is that you have to "apply" for every shift and starting out can take time to get shifts because you're competing against other sidekickers who have been doing longer shifts, eventhough I have been in the industry for a long time. So dilligently I had my profile set to go in October anticipating that it may take a while before I can get decent shifts. After 2 weeks of waiting for approval, I emailed them and mentioned that they're still reviewing it, they had promised approval of 48hrs. After I didnt hear back for another 1 week, I decided not to pursue it. Then my profile got approved just recently and its already December, 2 months after I had sent it for review. Overall, if you're looking for agency shifts you're better off at companies like Spotless and Hotel Staff. What sold me at first with Sidekicker is the convenience part and but its all empty promises
