Pros

Fantastic Training. Genuinely some of the best teaching I’ve ever gotten

Cons

There’s very little clarity over when you’ll be placed. It’s very exploitative to target people from lower-income and disadvantaged backgrounds, then underpay them. Very evasive about answering questions regarding placement. Also, the London living wage is £29k, and the salary has not been increased to reflect this. They’re making a massive profit off of each trainee and severely underpaying them.

Pros

Staff are friendly and well trained You learn lots on the training course

Cons

Training is 40 hours but completely unpaid, how is that sustainable for graduates especially grads from low income backgrounds like the company targets All training is wfh which is not a good environment to learn complex topics The most competitive environment I have studied. They preach about being a team and not competing with other colleagues but every single test is scored and ranked so those with better scores get jobs first. They even rank students on who asks the most questions.

Pros

- Very transparent interview process with quick, personalised responses - The train team are very much behind you and have your best interests at heart - The training is essentially 'no win - no fee', if you do not pass the training then you will be reimbursed for your time. (This is not uncommon) - The training you receive is world-class and you will be given additional support if needed - You will meet some great people both from the company and on your cohort during the training period - Staff maintain contact with you post deployment - You will not be forced to work for companies that you have ethical issues with - Good health insurance perk once deployed into a role

Cons

- The training is very very demanding, the core hours are 9-6 however it was common to work much later than this and at weekends - Whilst you learn a lot during the training, the speed at which new concepts are covered means that it's hard to consolidate learnings, if you don't practice these after the training is complete then it's easy to lose the skills - When it came to choose roles, we were asked for our preferences, however it seemed as though these weren't really considered, instead it seemed as though the sales team were keen to get you into any role ASAP - Where you are placed is somewhat luck of the draw, multiple members from my cohort were not placed for an extended period - Only 20 days of holiday in your first year which goes up to 23 in the second, in some cases you will also be forced to use some of this where the client company has furlough for fixed term employees/contractors
