Pros

Good company only if you have just started fresh from academia and you want to get some experience. You will see some nice people there.

Cons

Management seems to be too proud of themselves. Many of the projects are MVPs and PoC This company gets PhD graduates like a vacuum cleaner who most of them lacking basic technical skills. Site leads are not that much helpful

Pros

Noting to mention. Just in person people are nice

Cons

They do not care about the trustworthiness of their product. They just try to sell a simple thing at a high cost. The main reason is that their employees, managers, and leaders are not really AI scientists; they are from other fields or lack scientific knowledge. So, in discussions, they do not attend to the important parts of AI, and their product may be unreliable. The main disadvantage of this company is that they present themselves as professional, yet their site lead, for example, does not know the basic concept of AI. Additionally, they praise each other in a very bad shape.

Sad to hear about this bad experience at Silo AI. Something we are proud of is our high scientific expertise in different fields of AI. To build successful business and quality solutions, we also need different expertise from various fields. Therefore, we are also very proud of our diverse expertise. Our current management team represents strong expertise in different fields, including AI, economics, finance, HR, sales, leadership - unfortunate to hear that you don't consider the expertise is enough. Main reason why many people have stayed at Silo AI since the very beginning is the high expertise amongst peers and opportunities to learn from them. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

The technical problems in the projects are relevant and timely. There are some large clients.

Cons

The management and HR is very authorative and inflexible. There is not really room for negotiation. The communication about work expectations is sometimes poor which is made especially bad by the punitive atmosphere. Overall I feel that the work atmosphere is quite negative. Not a good workplace for maintaining mental wellbeing. There is also a strong atmosphere of secrecy, most decisions and discussions seem to happen in private.

Thank you for leaving the comment. Happy to hear that you have found the project work at Silo AI meaningful. Very sad to hear how you feel about the company culture. It's always our intent to be open and transparent in our communications but in a fast growing company this is an area that also needs constant improvement. We will discuss how the communication and transparency could be improved, and any concrete ideas from our employees are very welcome too. Supporting employees' mental wellbeing is a high priority for us, so we would be grateful to hear your suggestions for possible improvements (for example via Teamspective, our employee survey tool). Thank you for your feedback!
