help desk manager breaths over your neck while you try to do anything. Although it was not my first IT job, I was treated like a high school child. I was specifically told not to fix anything without asking first. There is only one manager and 10 technicians. We are taking 40 calls a day. It is unreasonable to have to ask a manager before fixing anything on every call. Job can be done remotely but you are asked to come into the office to be babysat. All of the desks are in a very small room with no cubicles. The workload is unfairly large and hard to deal with when being micromanaged.
