Pros

Pay is above average for the industry. Benefits are good. That's it.

Cons

I had high hopes for this company and this job. So disappointed in the lack of leadership in this entire organization. Does management know the product? Most of them, yes. Does management know how to be in management? Absolutely not!!! Soft skills and leadership skills are severely lacking!! There is no positive feedback. Feedback and direction is all NEGATIVE and it is slammed in your face every time you turn around. Even when you do something right, it is not acknowledged. Management does not give good direction. Even when they do give direction, they forget what was said or change their minds and then they don't tell anyone....so you get in trouble, again, for doing something wrong. Even if you have more than one person in a meeting taking notes and you bring this to managements attention, management will deny it, say you ALL misunderstood, you ALL got it wrong, and you are ALL in trouble once again. You can't go to your bosses boss if you have issues, because they are all very good friends. You will be the one to get in trouble and then your boss and your bosses boss will make your life miserable because you spoke up and tried to fix an issue that is creating problems. While new blood is coming in, it's not enough. This company came from Choice hotels. Everyone that started at SkyTouch came from Choice. It's like a junior high click. It's literally like the movie "Mean Girls". If did not work at Choice, you will be an outcast. Many of these employees have been with Choice for many, many years. They expect the new blood to be 'up to speed' in a very, very, very short period of time learning BOTH Choice and SkyTouch, same level as the employees that have already been there doing this for years. It is very hard to ask for support or help. No one answers email, Lync, or their phones. You sit there waiting to find out how to do something, you are told to ask questions, but when no one is available to help you....you get in trouble for not getting anything done. Micro managing is the worst I have ever seen. You can't management your team without getting approval for every little thing. I thought a manager had authority to make decisions for their team? Not here. Lower level managers are micro managed to death. Terrible silo effects in management. Rather than upper management taking responsibility, they will throw lower management under the bus for EVERYTHING!! Lower management works their bums off and they get no credit and no respect.

We appreciate your feedback. SkyTouch is progressing well in advancing employee engagement, creating positive processes and developing leadership across the company. We constantly receive overwhelming positive responses to our monthly ‘Town Hall’ employee meetings hosted by our CEO, our community outreach programs, excellent benefits and competitive compensation. We are currently monitoring our compliance training programs to ensure that all levels of employees are being successfully trained and are ready to introduce our manager training programs in November. This in addition to our new rewards/recognition programs which will be rolled out in November. SkyTouch strongly encourages open communication and ensures fairness in all employment practices. We welcome employee feedback and our Human Resource members, along with all leadership, have an open door for everyone. Joan Dawson, SPHR Director, Human Resources
