Everything else. I have been in site acquisition for almost a decade and have never seen anything like this. It was a constant barrage of unrealistic deadlines set by their finance department on the other side of the country. They obviously had zero understanding with the drawn out timelines and strict processes for zoning / building entitlements in California in comparison to the national average. Not to mention my site count was significantly higher than what we discussed in the interview. I ended up going back to my old company after 6 months for less pay rather then deal with their bureaucracy.
Things were off from the start. Told me salary was one amount and then when they made the offer, it was $10k less than what I was told. No training, just thrown into a project that was already a mess. Manager shot down idea to have a deep dive with vendors on project, but didn’t want to because it would make us look bad in front of clients.
