Pros

The company was excellent when I joined in 2005. There was excellent senior management both in the UK Head Office and in most of the North American divisions. The UK senior team valued the North American senior management teams and leveraged their strengths. Good people throughout the company at the beginning

Cons

Then the" useless CEO Philip Bowman" joined the company. Within the first 18 months he obliterated the entire senior management team in the UK and the North American senior management teams. He brought his useless management team who had destroyed his previous company Scottish Power and Burberry. He brought the Chief Human Resource Officer, the CFO, and the most useless one the CIO. The CIO who had no university degree and questionable lower education started to fire all the CIO's and IT professionals who had Bachelor and/or Masters degrees and integrity. If you did not want to play the unethical games that he was playing, you were targeted to get fired. He cancelled contracts with excellent service providers and signed new contracts with providers at a substantially higher rates. Rumor has it he made excellent kickbacks, The CEO locked in multi million dollar bonuses for all the C-levels that he brought in...... Now they have replaced most of the Presidents and VP's with substandard individuals ...very few have any degrees or formal education......

Pros

Good salary and benefits and location

Cons

Mismanagement at the top, very long hours, lots of seasonal layoffs {3 - 4 per year}, employees don't feel safe in their jobs, interdepartmental conflicts. Upper management indifference to workers. Salaried are expected to work 50-60 work weeks. Extremely poor job security.
