The husband and wife who own/operate the company are their own biggest problem. They will lie about territories, change the terms of sales, literally take your sales/customers away from you if they want the credit, or are afraid the sales rep is too close to the client. They challenge reality all the time related to market trends, what customer's asked for, what they said or didn't say. The Wife takes over EVERY conversation with a customer if she's on the call, or if in person. The clients will whisper behind her back that it bothers them she never stops talking and that she goes down a rabbit hole and rarely addresses the client's needs. Husband is arrogant, rude, outright cruel and loves to put people down. He is never wrong apparently. And he will lie and cover up for wife. The industry is well aware of the constant turnover of employees over many years and they frequently lose big clients because they lack trust in the owners.
