Pros

Nice office building and location.

Cons

The CEO and Vice President aren’t creative or innovative to help compete in the marketplace. There is not much demand for what the company offers. No strategy to excel.

The Company That Helped Start The Industry

Pros

History of excellence dating back to 1951, including the best training system in the industry for decades. Exceptional support in franchised offices, rapid advancement, performance recognition awards, "Snelling University", and a phenomenal national annual convention all standards of Snelling. Attracted the best of the best.

Cons

By the mid 2000's, Snelling corporate support of franchises was rapidly sliding off it's core mission and strategies that were instrumental in building such a strong reputation in the top job markets like San Fransisco Bay/Silicon Valley, NYC/Wallstreet, and DC/Tysons Corner VA technology and high-growth business markets (where despite heavy competition, they dominated the industry). Similar areas of excellence and market-dominance were also established in Snelling's markets in Dallas, Savanah, Huntsville, Little Rock, Akron. St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, Denver, Corning, and other areas where franchises were (and still are in some areas) operated by skilled and motivated entrepreneurs. It was always "Helping Others Achieve The Success They Desire" and delivering on that mission - We attracted the best talent, and retained them with entrepreneurial growth opportunities, top compensation, recognition/awards, advancement potential, exceptional ongoing training and development, and marketing/brand advertising/PR. Many of the best in the industry left years ago because the company lost its mission. But there are still many still with Snelling who are thriving, and I know the company wants to establish the high bar in the industry. Despite the above, I HIGHLY recommend checking this company out if you are interested in the recruiting and staffing industry.

Pros

Name brand recognition, exposure to multiple industries

Cons

Company is not willing to invest in their brand and are behind the times. I was often asked to recruit in unethical ways and decide to part with the company because of such requests.
