Pros

The people you work with become your family. Everyone hates the company as much as you do and so much bonding happens around that. Everyone’s just a broke college student looking to make ends meet.

Cons

Where do I start? The company is so unprofessional. Often times they are late with pay, often times checks bounce or are cancelled, and managers handle it poorly. Employees will experience attitude for trying to get their pay on time. Some people have waited months for their money to finally come, some people have had to pay rent late, some have been foreclosed, but the company never apologizes. They look for excuses to patch up their mistakes and pin the blame on something else, all while the managers and owners snicker and complain. I’ve hopped around a few locations, and it’s either the store is understaffed or over staffed. You are either scheduled way more than you bargained for or once a week. Also, if you get sick, there is absolutely no way you can’t show up to work unless you find a cover, which is oftentimes difficult. I’ve worked multiple six hour shifts while so sick that I spent half of my time in the back hacking and sneezing, which is so unsanitary. The store has also changed throughout the year I was with them. Their ice cream we used to serve would be at least just a week or two old, but now they sit in the back for months. The macarons we’d serve were fresh, but now they’re frozen for months too in the back. Also, addressing the pay— absolutely no chance of a pay raise, they pay their managers maybe a dollar more than minimum wage, and the managers work their butts off. Same with the kitchen workers, the people I’ve come to know that have worked kitchen were always so hardworking, but they only get payed 50 cents more for slaving in an unventilated room making hot teas and boba (and recipes too, that they’re barely compensated for, but the company profits greatly on). The owners drive Tesla’s, yet when minimum wage went up in 2018, and employees being paid minimum wage’s pay went up 50 cents to compensate, they didn’t raise anyone else’s pay who was getting paid at least $11 to meet with the pay raise. It feels so good to say all of this and have people know how scummy this company is. Please don’t work for them unless you desperately need the money.

Pros

Provided small snacks twice a month

Cons

Management sucks and don't care about you. Treats you bad and unfair. Fires for something so small. They lie and don't respect your hours when they say they do

Pros

- There are literally none at all

Cons

- Hours are very limited and not flexible - Some shifts they have you work alone without breaks - Nothing is fresh, macarons all come from a warehouse and are frozen. Drinks are probably brewed, stored in a fridge for weeks before being served to customers. - Managers/Owners expect you to work at different locations with no mileage disbursement - No extra pay if you move up, just more work on top of what you do - Hard to move up
