      Lack of ethics

      Pros

      Lots of great memories from this place. Some truly wonderful employees and laughs. Location is right on the beach. Some really intelligent people used to work there.

      Cons

      Oh where to begin...lots of horrible memories from this place too. If you are an ethical person with real values, this is not the place for you. I recommend googling the CEO's name before you consider taking a position. CEO doesn't know anything about social media. Nor does he know how to use it - my eyes will always be scarred from seeing his personal pictures uploaded to the company drop box account (did I mention he's also dating one of the employees there?). Now that I have worked for a "real company", I also realize how lucky some of the people have it here in terms of "work loads." It all just seems like a joke at this point.

      Great Place to Learn Social Media Marketing

      Pros

      Nice office location in Manhattan Beach. Get to work with an amazing group of smart/talented people + great office culture = love coming to work. Hands-on learning of all aspects of social media marketing with big name brands and agencies makes every day exciting.

      Cons

      The CEO lacks insight and direction. Can make projects/campaigns worse with micro-managing and lack of trust. Street parking in Manhattan Beach can also be a hassle (think expensive parking tickets).

      Cons

      CEO has serious ego issues and only cares about his personal wealth. He has to be in control of everything and doesn't like to be challenged which is an issue because he doesn't know much about running the different departments. He does however know about finance and regularly tries to get away with unethical practices. If that's not enough, he also has a "use and abuse" mentality, meaning he has to get the most out of his labor costs. Expect your job to be whatever random title you're handed plus 5 other things. CEO's significant other has way too much of a say in the business. Whines and complains to him a lot which causes internal problems. The company seriously lacks process and organization. It seems that there is a cycle of backwards progress in structure. Lack of incentives, no review process or career advancement. Bonuses/raises are avoided as much as possible.
