Pros

The company signs some impressive clients, so you get to work with those clients. Great if you are out of work and need a resume boost.

Cons

Management is very unprofessional. Expect calls and text and all hours of the day, and to be micro managed by the execs who are disconnected in regards what your are doing. 3 different execs have their hands in the pot and come up with requests without aligning. This leads to contradictions and competing priorities, which result in various “fires” that need immediate attention. There is also an expectation that every employee by an expert at configuring their software. On the surface it is a good idea, but there should be various standards of knowledge for various positions, not everyone be an expert. This expectation results in having to work on assignments/homework outside of business hours. If you do not score 85% or higher you are subject to termination. Lastly, management openly says everyone is replaceable and if you don’t like their standards you can or will be replaced. This combined with the other items leads to a very hostile work environment that has lead to high turnover. Most employees have a tenure of about a year, and outside of the leadership and development teams overseas you can not find someone past 3. Ps, only 2 weeks vacation until you hit 5 years, what a joke in this day and age.

We appreciate the feedback and take all perspectives seriously. The reviewer mentioned that we work with impressive clients and we are proud of that. The reason, however, we are able to earn and retain those impressive clients is because of the quality of our delivery, our SLA commitments, our security architecture and the compliance standards we uphold. In order to serve our customers, we cannot compromise on those obligations. Sodales operates in the safety and labor compliance space, where industry regulations and requirements continue to evolve rapidly. New rules, government reporting standards and industry governance expectations require us to continuously maintain and upgrade our product/delivery expertise so we can provide clients with secure, compliant and best practice solutions. Our clients expect best practices and standard methodology. At the same time, we also operate in a fast-moving technology environment with a strong AI focus. Advancements in security standards, data governance and AI capabilities require ongoing technical learning and structured certifications to ensure our platform remains both innovative and security compliant. Compliance is non-negotiable in our operating model, and we approach it with discipline and responsibility. As an ISO 27001– information security standards aligned organization, we are required to maintain documented competency standards and minimum skill levels across roles that support regulated client environments. Our internal certification benchmark is 70% (not 85%) and we provide structured training, support and ongoing investment in professional development to help employees succeed. We prioritize continuous learning across the organization so our teams can stay ahead of regulatory and technological change while delivering best-in-class solutions to our clients. Our leadership model is cross-functional and structured as a matrix organization. Each customer engagement is supported through clearly defined KPIs across revenue, net retention, deployment success and SLA compliance. Leaders align on these metrics to ensure continuity and accountability across the full client lifecycle, This discipline is reflected in our strong client retention and long-term enterprise relationships. Operating at the intersection of regulated industries and advanced technology requires accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. We recognize that this pace and structure may not be the right fit for everyone. Professionals who excel in high-performance environments achieve strong career progression at Sodales.... with opportunities for career growth and recognition while gaining experience with impressive customers and AI-driven innovations for global enterprises. The combination of impact, accountability and continuous learning creates significant long-term career value for Sodales employees. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to strengthening communication, clarity of priorities and leadership alignment across the organization.

Pros

Lots of good projects to learn from

Cons

Compared to a big corp, the workload here is double or triple for the same pay. The culture feels like a family business where succession planning and promotions happen behind closed doors.

CEO will publicly shame you if you mess up

Pros

- Good pay - Will invest in your learning - Remote working

Cons

If you make a mistake or a project is in a stressful time, the CEO will publicly attack you in front of the entire company’s Whatsapp group chat instead of taking the conversation privately. Escalations can happen at any time during the day, whether it’s 4 am or 10 pm, expect to be contacted by the CEO directly to your personal phone number asking for status updates. CEO will put unfair blame on individuals without giving them an opportunity to speak up. Even when given a chance to speak, concerns can fall on deaf ears. Indian workers at their dev office will often protect one another and management will tend to listen to them instead of Canadian workers, leading to one sided stories. Expect to work at all hours to deliver timely projects.
