Pros

I’ve been an engineer at Solar Energy World and have been impressed by how leadership has navigated the post-bill craziness that has crippled many local competitors. It has been a challenging time for the solar industry, but SEW management has stayed focused, communicated clearly, and kept the company moving forward. There are still challenges, and the pace can be intense, but I’m optimistic about the future and grateful for Comcast’s support and resources. I’m eager to keep working hard and making a difference one roof at a time. The mission matters to me, and it clearly matters to SEW.

Cons

Wish the 3rd party lease providers were less frantic in their changes. Also, the parking is not great. :(

Pros

If you enjoy navigating tension, vague direction, and optics over operations, you’ll fit right in. Benefits are good, only because they adopted Comcast’s.

Cons

Everyone learns quickly to tread lightly, and quietly. On the sales team, you have to watch your back, and your significant other. A lot of the other guys are very pervy, then sexist, when a female employee disses their advances. A lot of corruption and deflection from leadership, always claiming they’re on the up and up and working on smoothing out the fine lines. Being in a fast paced environment means you’re there to support your people, not slam the door in their face. They won’t staff adequately in the departments doing the physical work, but pressure us for more sales, resulting in back log, then give us half answers to communicate to the customers creating a sense of unreliability. Dare I say performance expectations were enforced far more rigorously than leadership presence or support. There is no diversity, whatsoever. Management enforces their open door policy, but cannot handle constructive criticism, many employees claim they haven’t met the CEO because he secludes himself.

Pros

2025 was an incredibly rewarding year, being part of a team that generated a record number of leads that converted to appointments and ultimately sales. Solar Energy World (Comcast owned) had its best year ever! Management provided the guidance, the tools, the budget and the support that set us up for success. My income in 2025 was the highest of my career. As important, I gained valuable knowledge and experience which will no doubt help me in my career path. Leadership has a hands-off approach to managing which is a style I excel under.

Cons

Being part of Comcast has been exciting but also challenging. Learning their systems and processes has been time consuming, but I get the need and feel it is getting easier to navigate with more experience.
