Pros

The Christmas gift was nice.

Cons

If you are someone who sticks their head in the sand even though you see that there is injustice everywhere, this place is for you! if you are someone who loves to work 30 hours overtime a week and not get paid for it nor acknowledged for it and when you ask to go to the doctors they respond with "take a sick day", this place is for you! If you enjoy your management team throwing you under the bus for their mistakes, this place is for you! Also, if you thrive in an environment that is understaffed and brutally competitive to ensure that the top stay at the top with no questions asked if they line their pockets with any extras they make off of Freight, this place is for you ! Moreover, if you are someone who seeks help from HR and loves to hear that they are by your-side and they support you but in the back end they are just playing office politics, this place is for you. furthermore, If you like to hear your CEO tell you that he is so happy that he squeezed you like lemons to get what he wants , this place is for you. Lastly, this place is for you if you are someone who likes to be intimidated, played and borderline harassed by any man that thinks you are pretty.

As Solmax's CHRO, I must say that I am surprised and disappointed to see such comments. I'll just say that I honestly don't feel this represents our working environment and our culture. Any employee that has a problem/issue can raise it via a confidential/anonymous process (Whistleblowing) either online or via phone. Employees are also encouraged to bring forward their issues/concerns to their direct manager for resolution. In case where this is not possible because of the nature of the concern, employees can seek support from their HR resources locally.

As Solmax's CHRO since 2018, I have never and will never say such things. I have been fortunate to have 2 boys myself and am very proud of our decision to decide to have kids. As anyone who has gone through raising kids, it is absolutely true that balancing your personal and professional lives is a challenge and comes at the costs of trade-offs that do have consequences. But this is also true for any decision one makes in his/her life.
