Pros

Salaries are decent considering the size of the company, the environment is really relaxed but this also a con in its own way.

Cons

The executive team doesn't manage or provide clear direction. There is tons of favoritism and protection for long term employees that don't perform, which discourages newer and/or higher performing employees and creates a negative environment. There is a significant lack of internal controls and a tendency to do everything manually simply because "that's the way we've always done it" which is disturbing considering that it is a business intelligence company. Management is too preoccupied with social activities and planning trips and not concerned enough with providing their employees with the resources or environment needed to effectively do their jobs. It is a very close knit but negative environment; you'll hear management gossiping about employees of all levels on almost a daily basis, and their lack of professionalism is appalling. Everyone seems concerned with placing blame and not with fixing procedural issues, and the executive team is too afraid to be the bad guy to their employees so long-standing problems never get fixed.

Pros

Easy-going/laid back environment, and have fun activities for employees (annual company trip for employees, Christmas dinner for employees & significant other, hockey games in suite).

Cons

All fun activities cover up problems in politics, favoritism, letting non-exec person run company & ruin atmosphere & morale.
