Sousa Design Architects Reviews

I started working at Sousa Design fresh out of Graduate school under Optional Practical Training (OPT) and at the time I was looking to get sponsored for a work visa. Stephen Sousa assured me that if I performed accordingly then I would get the help I needed for my change of status; which was a tremendous offer that became a reality. During my years at Sousa Design, I have had the opportunity to work on projects of all sizes, from schematic design to construction administration. The opportunities for growth within the team are boundless and tied in to a work hard philosophy. Most of the projects I have worked on are within the hospitality realm: restaurants, bars and cafes. Nevertheless, I have also participated in some residential projects which have contributed to my personal and professional growth as an Architect in training. Additionally, Stephen encourages everyone in the team to pursue career development towards licensure through the Architect Registration Examination.(ARE) Overall, I have had the great pleasure to interact directly with clients and see multiple projects open to the public in Boston and beyond with great success; which has been a very enjoyable experience.

Sousa Design has given me a great start to my career. I started working here full time before I graduated with my degree. I have gained a great sense of the professional design world and gained many valuable skills I will continue to use throughout my career. I am grateful to be able to work with such an amazing group of people working here. My project managers and co-workers are very supportive and willing to help with any problem around the office. We all work together as a team, and that collaboration shows in the work we produce.
