It’s a startup so the visibility into financial info is less than zero. General Manager in NYC seems to give every candidate and employee willing to ask very shady answers about his revenue, KPIs, and seems to be laughably coin operated. Info from corporate is also quite murky. My team is protected from the GM which is fine, but make sure you get the revenue growth for the NYC office and the whole company over the past 36 months at least reduced to writing before you join. Ask careful probing questions. NYC GM will tell you it’s a “unicorn” growth trajectory like you’re in an episode of Silicon Valley, yet impossible to prove with the info you get. And once you’re in, it’s hard to know what’s fact and fiction. NYC GM won’t tell you that the partnerships in Americas are on life support and the sales leads and top of funnel are mysteriously underwhelming. They hired a bunch of us but don’t have many projects to work on or places for us to sit. So you’ll sit on the bench, but won’t have a proper desk while you witness considerable chaos. But they do have free coffee and granola bars, yay!
