Pros

- Friendly co-workers - Management trusts you to own your own projects - Catered lunches every Friday

Cons

- Company is entirely sales driven and lacks any form of strategy. Just out there to make a quick buck despite the amount of work and stress the employees put into it. - ZERO confidentiality as most within the company are related. - Junior / entry level management is paid MINIMUM WAGE. - No work / life balance. - They replace people at the drop of a hat.

Thank you for your feedback. Since this review has been written, we have made many changes to our salary options, and are working on bettering morale, as we’ve come to learn that a healthy work-life balance is very important to the longevity of our hard working employees. We also have more strategy in place to better prioritize our projects.

Pros

some coworkers are awesome, catered lunch, free kitchen snacks. close to Lake Merritt and uptown oakland shops and restaurants.

Cons

workers are paid below market price. they paid MINIMUM WAGE for jobs that required html and web knowledge, technical skills, multi-tasking and client interface. nonexistent work-life balance, i feel bad for the people who work there that think working 24/7 is the norm. clients are high-maintenance (expected), but the company didn't provide me with tools to keep up with clients. I had to use my home laptop with Photoshop to complete projects for clients. upper management are related family members, expect what you say to coworkers to be spread around. I also felt really uneasy/ had a bad feeling about their projects - Epic Scale and Immunity Project. They claim to use these causes/software to donate money to charity and for creating a HIV vaccine, but with no transparency to donors about what they actually do with the money. They use jargon and overarching promises to people, but knowing them in real life (how they don't even invest in their own employees, willing to do anything for a profit) made me skeptical about where the money really goes. Epic Scale claims to use your unused computer power to "change the world" with no hard evidence as to how. Epic Scale mines your computer for bitcoin, but users don't know where that ends up. shady business practices and shady people

It has been a couple of years since this review was written, and we have made some positive strides in a few of the problem areas you’ve discussed. We’ve cut down on turnaround immensely over the last two years, and now offer more competitive salary options. If an employee is ever concerned about the integrity of a project, speak up- especially if you don’t have all the tools you need to do your job. All of our managers and directors have an open door policy and are always willing to spend some time to go over any concerns you may have about a project. We can assure you that our projects are legitimate, although we have had some “fails” which we have learned from. Thank you for your time spent with us.

Pros

- An extremely hands on learning experience. - Exposure to interesting clients. - Innovative design and engineering teams. - Great location, easily accessible by public transportation and smack in the middle of all Uptown Oakland has to offer.

Cons

- Work life balance is non-existent. - Highest turnover I have ever experienced. - Little direction as to where the company is headed. Projects constantly getting prioritized, re-prioritized, with little to no notice.

Since this review was written, we have made much improvement with turnaround, and reorganized our departments in a way that we can better keep track of projects and priorities. We appreciate both the positive and negative feedback, as it helps us understand our flaws and allows for some necessary reflection on our practices. Thank you for your time spent with us.
