How to destroy an amazing Dutch company

Pros

- Food - People which already left - Flexibility - Office and parking - Near Amsterdam - Multiculture

Cons

- CEO - Strategy The CEO brought in a big network, but does not understand gaming , sadly only how to milk casual gamers. Used to be a great company to work for, but once the milking started, players of the sites and employees left. Many promises are made from which not even one has succeeded so far. "Cats" caugh... The company has a higher burnrate of cash, than success. Used to be #1 Dutch gaming company and today people laugh at it. I do not support bashing, but you clearly can filter out reviews here which are biased and the ones telling you a sad story of a casual gaming company before the bubbleburst.

A waste of human and technological potential.

Pros

The non-managers are really good and skilled. Some of the best engineers I have ever worked with, seriously. The lunches are good, the facilities (laptops, phones) are good and Office IT does a very good job. The hacking culture is good and there's a lot of freedom for experimenting new technologies.

Cons

The offices are cramped with people (while other areas are semi-abandoned); there's a culture of fear and control (you MUST be in the office from 9 to 6 or 7, don't even talk about remote work or working from home). Promotions are non-existent, pay rises ridiculous. They'll happily keep you on a 6-months contracts because they never believe in people, then they act surprised if you leave the company. Salaries are below market average (about 3K for an entry engineering position); the evaluations are based on hearsay and the whole ship is sinking (but they don't care; Spil Games makes money even without people) but everyone's happily polishing the brass on the Titanic.

Pros

Currently none, The management are even taking to writing fraudulent reviews on Glassdoor to cover themselves after firing over 200 people in 1 year and halving the value of the company with incompetence and poor decision making. Their handling of staff is terrible and there is no one in HR who is there for the staff, they are just the executioners for Bumblers up top. You are not safe here unless you are friends with the CEO and his puppy dog cronies.

Cons

Everything, inherent racism foreigners no longer welcome, no strategy and not allowed to question anyone in charge when they make their constant mistakes.
