- Very short staffed! Owners know this but won’t hire more people due to budgets - effects the current staffs morale/energy levels and greatly affects the quality of service which the staff then have to deal with complaints etc
- Poor communication across the whole resort, between management and staff, between different departments etc
- Training should be longer, more thorough and more structured
- Full time contract is only 32 hours and it’s hard to get holiday sometimes (because they are so short staffed)
- Facilities are outdated and need a lot of maintenance
- Very strict sickness policy - management and HR will give you warnings and infer that your job is at stake and discreetly threaten to let you go if it happens again (including cases of genuine sickness that can’t be helped eg covid, ear infections, food poisoning, tooth infections, flu etc)
