Pros
We conduct field work about 80% of the work week, then have data input that follows. This is a job that is easy to leave in the field/office everyday. Also very satisfying to know that you are actually impacting the environment when doing pipe sampling. Most of our clients let us know what repairs were done and the impact on the catchment.
Cons
There isn't a visible growth path set up in the company for people in the field. For people with degrees, it can be fairly stagnant for career growth opportunities.
