      They had a good thing going

      Pros

      There are some brilliant employees at Standard Cognition. Standard covers 100% of Medical, Vision, Dental for you and your dependents. Perks like work from home stipend.

      Cons

      Culture and diversity are non-existent. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are just some words some of the Executive team likes to use as a recruiting tool, but they do not follow through with DE&I goals and they definitely do not take it seriously. There are a lot of politics, favouritism, nepotism. There is a lack of transparency from the Executive team. Some of the executive team members choose not to listen to advice or recommendations from the subject matter experts. Siloed and there is no teamwork or camaraderie. The technology does not work. People are the technology.

      Pros

      Good food. Good product. Some flexibility

      Cons

      Very political managers. No team spirit. All the decisions of the well being of the company are made only by a couple of people. Founders are too weak to stand for their employees and rely on those people for all the decision making. HR is name sake and do not function like a Human Resource Department. Core racism. People are very closed minded.

      Disconnected Management, Lack of Culture, and Perpetual Burnout

      - Challenging work; a lot of new experiences to tackle - Exciting product - Great team members on the lower levels

      Cons

      - Management is disconnected on what people are actually working on in the company - Promotions seemed to be given out primarily for retention reasons or hired externally - There isn’t any culture to be embraced here - BURNOUT. What the company lacks in organization is compensated by employee grit. - No transparency to what or how company decisions are made - Way too much politics within management
