Pros

I am still fairly new, but in just a few short months I feel that I have already been able to step in and really feel like part of the team. Every single member of the management team is approachable and helpful, willing to get their hands dirty along side the rest of the team. Company goals and values are regularly reiterated and practiced by management. In addition, management encourages the team to use their time off rather than making you feel guilty for taking a day off (which I have not always experienced in previous positions and has been super refreshing). Another valuable piece of the puzzle is management's — and the team's — commitment to building a strong culture amongst the staff. All staff are local to the St. Louis area, and everyone comes into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays for in person collaboration which is perfect for me. Regular company events allow for bonding outside of meetings as well. I honestly look forward to seeing my co-workers each day because they are honest, kind, and hardworking people. We work as a team, rarely letting pride get in the way of progress; no cutthroat tactics of taking credit for other's work or feelings of toxic competition with peers. All-in-all, I see lots of growth opportunities for myself here, and I am excited to see how the coming years play out. Within my first two weeks, two separate clients made a point to share in meetings how happy they were with the service they had been getting from the SteadyRain team. It was reassuring to hear such positive and unprompted reports so early in my tenure.

Cons

Tracking time is a necessary evil with billable hours in an agency setting, so keeping up with time spent on different projects can be a hassle when quickly moving from one project to another. Also, juggling multiple project deadlines can make some days feel more overwhelming than others so be prepared to work hard.

Pros

Smart people that genuinely want to do good work.

Cons

Project management causes extreme micro management. Each day we were asked to explain in detail what we worked on the previous day to justify time spent working on client work.

While we welcome all feedback, we must call this review into question. This "ex-employee" states that they were in the role of Digital Marketing Manager. That role acts as a team leader at SteadyRain and are the individuals who manage client requests, task assignments to individual contributors for execution and ensure the highest level of service to clients. Their role is to be client champions within the organization. Digital Marketing Managers are not micromanaged. Quite to the contrary, they are give immense autonomy to innovate and deliver at very high levels to ensure client success.
