      Enjoyed working at this fast paced company. Good communication from managers Respect if work life balance.

      Cons

      Pay is lower then some other places in the Bay Area. Not a lot of room for upward mobility

      Pros

      The positive company culture made it a pleasant work environment

      Cons

      They laid of 25% of the company giving no warning , after mandating us all to get vaccinated despite everyone having remote positions during the pandemic. Many of us changed our entire lives around and moved to less expensive states to take advantage of our remote positions and worked very hard to produce for this company during the height of the pandemic only to be laid off with no warning as soon as the pandemic subsided . At Sterling you will always be expendable.

      Not micromanaged, preference for independence, ownership.

      Cons

      Departments are very siloed, a lot of lip service when it comes to over-promising and underdelivering. The support staff is very understaffed. Communication between departments is poor.
