Pros

Great hours and I loved the culture of the bank when I first started. Small-town friendly bank where everyone knows your name.

Cons

There were so many changes for the worse. No longer the small-town friendly bank, sales is all that matters, it doesn't matter how good you are with customers. Absolutely no room to move up unless you "know" someone or have worked for the company 10+ years. Some of the management and employees settled into their positions and did nothing to improve the company. If you want a position where you are challenged, opportunity to learn new things, move up within the company, this is not the place.

Pros

Nice culture initially. That is what attracted me. Positive employee work unit relationships except for team management.

Cons

However, found middle management people are prior savings and loan cling-ons with no people and process management experience. Bank's tailspin economic performance only made things worse. Unethical employee treatment to downsize.
