Looks like a new Glassdoor account was created to sweep previous negative reviews under the rug. So I feel obligated to share my experience while working at Stifel Marcin for 9 months. The interview process was simple and stressed the fact that zero benefits would be provided. While interviewing there were 3 full time employees and between the time of accepting my new role and starting (about 2 weeks) two of the three employees were let go or left on their own. Shortly after I started 3 additional full time employees were added. By the time I was fired there was only one employee left. I have never seen such a high attrition rate at a business and constantly wondered how one could stay afloat with all the unemployment insurance coverage! Anywho, I made it out by the skin of my teeth. I had accepted another job offer and was going to turn in my resignation the next day, but was met in the parking lot and fired on the spot the day before. I still collected unemployment insurance for 2 weeks while I was in between jobs and didn’t even discuss getting paid out for accrued time off. My experience while being employed at stifel Marcin was ripe with demeaning, one-sided discussions and impossible deadlines. There was constant scope-creep and continual lack of direction followed by minute-to-minute micromanagement. I have never been yelled at or berated with such negatively in my entire career. Again, I feel it is my duty to share my experiences and hopefully prevent others from causing potential career suicide by accepting any position at this ‘ad agency’. Do your homework and research old reviews and look up information on other sites as well. The times may change but the work environment at this place will not. There seems to be a mix of a few 5-star reviews followed by many 1-star reviews which leads me to believe that management is padding their rating, but I can share from first-hand experience that 5 previous employees can attest to the lack of candor, professionalism, and tact from the husband-and-wife team that somehow stays afloat at Stifel Marcin. You have been warned!
