Pros

Good co-workers in the field, very knowledgeable industry educated. Solid education department with lots of opportunities to learn about the industry and different types of Machinery.

Cons

Stiles is by far the most unprofessional company I have ever worked for. They work the FSR's like dogs, your schedule changes frequently with little notice. You will be traveling every week and expected to work a ton of overtime and fair amount of weekends too. Always seems like chaos and disarray going on. They try to nickel and dime to death on per diem, expecting you to work 12 hours a day to even be eligible for the small amount of $45.00 per day, but if you don't stay in a hotel they cut that in half, if you don't start before 7am they will deduct breakfast money. If you don't work 12 hours a day you don't get anything. The environment is very toxic with poisonous rumors about everyone in the company. The managers make accusations based on rumors without any factual proof to backup their accusations. Jumps to conclusions without getting all sides of story. Management doesn't try to handle issues with customers or employees, just tried to ignore them in hopes the issues will "go away" so they will not have to be bothered, always seemed like tried to let the office people run the department rather then stepping up to the plate and doing it themselves. Management is too busy being worried about their next vacation trip to be bothered with resolving customer or employee issues. They promise unlimited growth during the interview process, but once on board you quickly learn there is very little growth opportunities. Salaries are very low, and you're told of you want to make more money to work more overtime or sell more parts. They place unrealistic sales quotas FSR's then push to sell more parts for commissions, but the quotas are almost impossible to meet because the parts are so overpriced the customers end up buying them somewhere else.

Pros

The only thing I can say is a pro are the great peers I work with. I'm talking about other FSRs, not management or sales.

Cons

Pay is pathetic, training is lacking, Not appreciated, worked to the death, put in no win situations, set up to fail

Pros

Good People and strong team environment. When I came on board I was lead to believe that there was a lot of opportunity for growth and development. Everyone I work with works extremely hard often putting in long hours and going above and beyond. The environment can be toxic at times because of low moral. The day to day offers a variety of tasks and is generally never the same which makes the day go fast. I would say the biggest asset this company has is the dedication of many of the employees.

Cons

Very inflexible company when it comes to understanding young families. They offer promises of flexibility and huge growth opportunities but it is hard for them to follow through. The company is going through a huge growth spurt and making tons of money exceeding our budget month after month but when it comes to raise time stingy in sharing that with lower level employees. Higher level employees take company paid trips and post pictures on face book of their parties and fraternizing. This does little for the general population moral. Management does not seem to care or even be aware of low moral with in the departments.Greed seems to be their theme right now. The Human Resource department is the largest joke of the company and is sorely lacking. More worried about hosting fund raisers and benefits than working with their people to resolve department issues.
