Pros

-inspiring company goals. -the ROC is awesome. -unusually great 401k benefits. -some real geniuses and amazing pilots work here. -well funded, lots of opportunities to learn as you go. -the company events are actually pretty fun. lots of giveaways!

Cons

-half of leadership is useless. lots of “what does this person even do?” plenty of people who supposedly have decades of experience are in way over their heads. -some of c-suite are approachable and trusting, others are looking for a fight and want to micromanage your entire life. each leader has different messaging, so it often feels like they don’t talk to each other -onsite HR team is great, but HR leaders are disconnected from reality and waste lots of time on nonsense. they make such a big deal of being in person yet they are all remote… what a joke. -employee-driven company scores (ENPS) have been falling for 3 years straight and the same team runs HR! they fail to manage culture and keep current employees happy. too much of a focus on hiring new employees vs. nurturing the staff onsite. lots of our best engineers are leaving. -zero work-life balance on most teams. -office is reminiscent of the “office space” movie, straight out of the ‘90’s. some lucky employees even get to work in a trailer from the same era (with no bathrooms or running water).

Toxic and favoritism.......

Pros

Great pay, great hours, some of the best people I have ever worked with. If you are thinking about working there, think twice and make sure you don't stay longer then 2 years.

Cons

Everyone is having a hard time right now. I was passed over more times than I could count for the hard work I put in. Multiple times I would also get back handed comments from people who held Manager titles all to the way to Directors. As the company has grown over the years, I watched a lot of good people come and go. Some of them didn't deserve to be laid off. In the beginning everyone was very close, but as the company grew I started to notice that people who were in Manager to Director level positions started to become less and less concerned about the help staff and our mental health. Favoritism began to show to itself as more people got hired from Scaled Composites. People who were there before new hires are getting pushed out because of whatever bond was made at the previous employer. This made me feel that I couldn't talk to anyone about my problems that I was having. I felt abandoned because of the favoritism. I even had a Director put his hands on me. People's mental health was not a concern. Going as far as finding reasons to lay people off instead of helping them with their problems, be those problems be at home or at work. Instead of coming to you and asking you what's wrong and how they can help they would just lay you off. You could open up to someone and tell them how much of a hard of a time you are having with everything and that could be a reason for HR to "Investigate." Which all that ever meant was that they wanted to ask around about you and get all the info they could to get you fired. If you aren't part of the in crowed then you will get fired. Seriously try not to stay there for longer than 2 years. A lot of shady behind the curtain kind of stuff would happen all the time. Very toxic work environment.

Pros

-Environment encourages high judgment -Values individual thought -Values creativity -Encourages risk taking -Expects individual ownership for contributions

Cons

-Our company is changing hiring people now who want their hands held and don’t take accountability for themselves -Engineers run decisions of business and are not always aligned values wise -Hard workers committed to company and live values are behind the scenes are not recognized -People that treat others badly are allowed to stay because they’re good at their job (never would have allowed that in the beginning)
