Get ready to be a scapegoat

Pros

It starts off on a positive note, and you feel like you've found the dream job. It doesn't end up being so...

Cons

1) Get ready for the CEO to criticize your work even when he has no idea what your work is about. He's the CEO, so you're forced to listen to his bad, uninformed input. This input hurts end results, and you're the one that gets blamed. 2) People won't listen to you when you're new, which is to be expected. But when you're the only person in your department, you'll have trouble getting anything accomplished when you're ignored 99% of the time. 3) Working here means taking a huge risk. The CEO won't hesitate to fire you so that he can hire his own [department] staff. He doesn't trust anyone to do their job, even when they went through the interview process and proved they're capable. 4) If you don't produce an impossible amount of results in a really short period of time, you'll get accused of not being capable of working in a fast-paced startup environment. 5) The CEO won't hesitate to sabotage your future employment after firing you. He has a history of telling recruiters lies about former employees in an attempt to make future employment more difficult for the person. There's a high chance that you'll lose your job at Stuzo from their end without justification. It won't matter how hard you work. They don't care about retaining employees. I don't recommend this company to anyone seeking a career placement for more than 6 months. It's a high risk.

Pros

Small, fast paced, unlimited PTO, some very smart people to work with

Cons

Chaos of a small company, constant changes, and because of the small company your responsibilities will be double that of a larger company, but without the compensation. You might be a scapegoat to their problems, but nothing you wont see at other small companies.

Pros

Small, friendly, centrally located office. Fast paced startup environment with a lot of opportunity for learning. While the company is not big, it cares and invests in the growth of its employees. Global team. Intelligent and productive team members and teamwork. Generous perks.

Cons

Not an issue for me and anyone living in or near Center City but parking, while plentiful near the office, is mostly only available in paid lots - not really Stuzo’s fault, hard to avoid in Philly.
