Pros

Cant think of any in my experience

Cons

Looks like someone deleted the very poor reviews that highlight the very same treatment that I had at this poorly led poorly managed company. Incredibly unprofessional, not at all transparent (so don't be fooled by the we are proud to be...) great corporate rhetoric...its obvious that this is a poorly run , managed company do your best to read between the lined and good luck !

Pros

Generous PTO Good pay for what we actually do

Cons

Toxic work environment There's minimal established processes and expectations are either unclear or constantly changing. I was told the trial managers get creative freedom over their studies, but I quickly found that was not the case. It almost felt like the new people are bullied to some extent. My immediate manager had no clue how to communicate or effectively manage people. When I asked for clarification on some processes, I was told "you'll figure it out when you get more studies"...... I never did figure it out, then was ripped on for not asking questions earlier on in the process. Maybe it's just my immediate manager that was awful, but this place is horribly toxic. The position was advertised as a "research" position, then I was told we didn't need IRB approval to make "minor" changes to subject-facing materials. When I called her out on this, I was told "maybe this isn't the right place for you". Turns out, we did need IRB approval for the changes we were making. Ugh. Stay away if you care about your sanity.

Company in Chaos

Pros

The people who actually do the work are smart and dedicated. Benefits are great and there is good work/life balance.

Cons

It's sad to see the direction the company is going over the past year. Under new leadership and Windrose as the new PE, positions have been moved overseas and the majority of the original people who made this company what it was have left, been laid off, or forced out by manipulation tactics. The current CEO, Fred Martin, is hiring old buddies from his previous job who in most cases do not understand what the company does and are text book "fake it 'till you make it". I think some could be successful, but leadership has not set up any sort of training structure for these people and they are thrown in as managers, directors, VPs and it's hurting the people under them who are stuck trying to clean up the mess. My direct manager had no operational knowledge and could not handle basic questions about a role I was supposed to transition into, There is no room for advancement unless you are one of the favorites from leadership’s “previous lives”. There was vision at the company, but unfortunately no infrastructure in place to make it happen. Instead of taking a breath to understand what has already been tested (and failed), leadership is moving at lightning speed and selling opportunities that operationally are not in place. The company used to pride itself on open communication. Unfortunately, another change that has happened in the last year is a lot of closed doors, back-room conversations, and misinformation. Personally I don’t think the company will be around long. If you are looking to make a career move, this isn’t it,
