Honest Review – Good Work-Life Balance but No Growth & Poor Management

Pros

Good work-life balance, plus there is always food in the kitchen!

Cons

My experience with this company has been disappointing overall. While they do offer a good work-life balance and are relatively easygoing in terms of workload, the lack of structure, leadership, and growth opportunities outweighs the positives. First, the onboarding and training process is terrible—there's essentially none. No proper documentation, no clear procedures—everything relies on people’s memory and informal knowledge sharing, which creates confusion and inefficiency. The company has a highly political culture, which affects daily operations and decision-making. Instead of fostering collaboration, it often feels like an environment where information is controlled and siloed. In my specific team, management is a major issue. My manager does not involve the team in discussions or meetings, making it difficult to stay informed or contribute effectively. She insists on everything going through her, which creates bottlenecks and prevents work from progressing smoothly. Rather than being a leader who empowers the team, she acts more like a boss who keeps control over everything. If you're looking for a place to coast with minimal pressure, this might work for you. But if you want growth, professional development, or strong leadership, this company is not the right fit.

Pros

Nice office location but its a really tight fit with people sitting soo close to each other. Lucky for Covid came ...

Cons

Join the company at your own risk. CEO and C level team don't hold back in the meetings to tell you that they are the only one who care about the company and you should follow what they say. The politics are terrible with the C level trying to out do each other in front of the CEO and not afraid to ruin the careers of other members of their team or other teams. Sunrice is a culture of fear where if you have bad news .... everyone spend alot time point to who was at fault or blaming other people who either with the company or have left the company.
