Pros

There were no pros to this job. You go door to door in the California sun for 10+ hours a day soliciting.

Cons

The job description and interview process make the opportunity seem amazing. They make it seem like you will be making tons of money and moving up very quickly. Job posting told that I start out making 100k + commission .. U get 100$ a day for each month ( 3 x 30 days x 12 months = 36,00$) 64,000k less than the job listing. On top of that, was working 7 days a week. ALSO NO BENEFITS . They call you a “Solar Consultant”, but you are literally the annoying sales person nagging every customer door to door to buy solar panels. The customers hated us and it was awful being the pushy sales person bothering all of the busy families.

Pros

Lots of Vitamin D from extensive exposure to the sun. THATS IT.

Cons

Company is ran like a Frat and you are treated like a pledge. Theres a corny "Pre-Amble" thats to be memorized and recited every morning in a huddle like we are some sort of JV high school football team. Just weird. 12 hour days 7 days a week. You are told you don't have to work on the weekends but "if you don't there is no way you will succeed in this company". Basically mandatory to work all week. Morning meetings start at around 8 and you are expected to be out KNOCKING DOORS until 7 - 8pm. Total disregard for peoples privacy at night and work life balance for their employees. One manager makes female representatives cry pretty often. Two times while I was working there and I was only there for about a month and a half. Payment structure / Contract was different from what was sent to me before I moved across the country to work for them. All around shady little start up company just looking for cheap labor and a quick buck.

Pros

good pay That’s it and if you want to make money you have to work really really really hard and there’s no residual income. Still really small company and there’s so many solar companies and they don’t differentiate

Cons

Cheap Outsource everything so communication within the company is terrible. Everyone in management is under the age of 30 and have no prior experience. The blind leading the blind. Constantly make promises, never keep to their word. They love to dangle the carrot.
