Pros

You get a chance to meet different people in their homes where they are most comfortable. It is this part of the job that makes it one where an individual would want to continue to work in the telecommunications field as a cable installer. You really get a chance to meet different people from all walks of life.

Cons

No room for advancement, lack of respect, compensation plan isn't commensurate with the job function or other similar jobs. The overhead cost to a technician can be very over bearing as the company doesn't compensate according to your specific talent or the cost to work for them. Long hours for very low compensation is a daily phenomenon.

Pros

Some great technicians there to work with.

Cons

Negligent Company, Unorganized, has with-held pay from employees, El Cajon location supervisors are not properly trained and cant seem to handle their jobs, they are always late to work and unwilling to support technicians, The manager is the same way at the El Cajon location. On the other hand the Management and Supervisors and the North county location for Carlsbad and Corona are decent. The company does not offer any good benefits and is not competitive. Its an older company that I believe is stuck in old ways with outdated systems and procedures. They offer not paid time off other than the state mandated sick time. There is no 401K option. Technicians are given false hope being told things that never come to fruition. They ask you to take your required lunch break by the 5th hour of the day but almost never give you a schedule that allows for it then continue to tell you to just leave the customers house in the middle of a job to take your lunch or 'what you do on your lunch is up to you' and to clock it out and then take lunch later in the day. This company has caused me an overwhelming amount of stress and the lack of empathy and ability to provide for its employees has caused depression and inability to keep up basic requirements for the job such as vehicle maintenance costs. The pay is not enough for what they ask of their employees.
