Misleading roles, poor management, stay away from this place.
Pros
There are some genuinely talented and nice people in the teams who made the day-to-day worth coming in for.
Cons
This company tend to recruit people for roles and then ask people to do something completely different. Being a start up, the expectations are not clear, nor are they realistic, there were no KPI’s that were measurable, everything work load wise runs on kanbans, and you are treated like a child if your kanban task list is not completed on time. There is tons of spaghetti going on, with some roles overlapping with other roles, roles and expectations are very wishy washy. There’s definitely a sense of a boys club within certain departments, those who fall outside of that department (for example support roles) will be used as cannon fodder or thrown under a bus when needed. There seemed to be minimum recognition for hard work in this non boys club. All in all, a horrible place to work with inexperienced management. There’s also a trend where verbal agreements and contract terms and conditions like working from home or flexi time are not respected by management. Last but not least, it was disappointing to hear that this company fraudulently skews their results in awards like “The Sunday Times best place to work 2024”. They actively instruct staff to vote a high score. Shambles.
