0. Be careful with your CTC. The promised bonus (which is a part of your CTC) is only for high performers. I worked with people who built entire segments of engineering single handedly but were denied bonus and promotion because they were not in office enough.
1. Very high pressure. Pretty much everything comes with a false sense of urgency.
2. People might remind you every now and then that you are paid to work, not think.
3. People are always looking to satisfy their ego and put another technology on their resume, irrespective of the need of the tech. Any decision your seniors make, you will be encouraged to question those decisions so that your seniors can tell you to shut up and tell you that their approach works at scale, unlike yours. You will ALWAYS be wrong. If the "scale" justification doesn't work, it might change to "this is how big companies do it".
4. People have very low accountability. It will always be someone else's fault. Might be a pro if you are into that.
5. You will end up working on most nights and weekends and day offs. And you WILL be punished for being unavailable outside of work hours. I know people who have not been able to visit their family even once ever since they joined. Might vary from team to team.
6. The company is full of people from Flipkart and Udaan. That culture will be forced on you whether you like it, or not.
7. Most of the people are convinced that you need to move at the speed and with the flexibility of a startup while building like big tech. You need to have speed and excellence at all times, no matter how impractical it is.
8. The company loves talking about moving fast and breaking things, but if you actually break things (for any reason), expect insults to come your way from all directions.
