Pros

Lovely people, free product, good benefits

Cons

What used to be a fun and positive work environment has completely soured since the current CEO joined. Her decision making is reckless and she shows no regard whatsoever for the livelihoods of her subordinates or for the brand’s identity as a whole. She fires essential performers and has thrown process into full chaos. Her decisions have created a fearful environment where no one feels safe in their roles and workloads only continue to increase. She is universally disliked, even by the founder. This company used to prioritize our well being and the previous senior leadership showed genuine consideration to us as people. All of that has been stripped away just so C-suite can cut costs (without implementing any real strategy) to impress their superiors at Blackstone. The HR team are kind people but powerless to offer any solutions for the increasing pressures. Stay far away.

Pros

The company used to have an inspiring mission and a reputation for being a trailblazer. A handful of talented, hard-working people are still here, but the best ones are leaving fast. The CMO is the only one in the executive team who actually gets it.

Cons

Let’s be honest, the leadership team is completely out of its depth. There’s no vision, no strategy, and no plan for the future. Everything feels rushed, reactive, and short-sighted. Decisions are made behind closed doors without input from the people actually doing the work, and it shows. The CEO is barely around, and no one seems to know or care what the long-term goals are. Instead of leading, the company is stuck chasing trends and copying competitors, which is the fastest way to become irrelevant. The culture is gone. What used to feel innovative and purposeful now feels transactional and cheap. High turnover has left teams stretched thin, burned out, and scrambling to pick up the slack, and there’s zero transparency about how (or if) leadership plans to fix it. Raises? Competitive pay? Career growth? Forget it. If you want to feel valued, you’ll have to go somewhere else.
