They do a good song & dance about how they care for their employees and what a "superior" place it is to work at. Management was an absolute mess (lower & middle - you couldn't get anywhere near the higher-ups) Compensation & benefits were an absolute joke - after 8 years at the company I was only making about 2 dollars per hour over minimum wage, medical benefits were expensive and barely covered anything. Workload was extremely variable, MUCH heavier in winter (to be expected) They had a major layoff a year+ before I left, cut entire departments, got rid of over half my team. When they brought you in & told you how "lucky" you were to stay they expected you to jump for joy at now having a job that feels significantly less secure, AND having to do over 2x the work you were doing before, for the same amount of $$. PLUS they froze raises for 2 years, blamed the pandemic - but I worked in accounting & receivables and could see that gross margin was up! Very little room to grow or advance, especially when you take into account the extremely large company size.
